Dunno

When in school everything was about the achievements of others. "One of our aluminus is a rocket scientist, another a CEO..." This was what was supposed to inspire us. But does it? Does it give us any direction or does it just add us to a overpopulated heap of career driven janta?

A mid-summer-afternoon rain

How many times do you actually think in a day. Life has become mundane and mechanical. Most of the work that we do everyday requires minimum or no thinking. Life becomes a habit. There is no stimulation of thought or new ideas. And this wheel of life keeps rolling on.

Till one day, when it rains during mid-afternoon. You feel that there is so much to do outside the office building. There is so much in life we miss out on because we need to build a career. Is being a slug such a horrible thing. I mean is being unambitious that big a flaw that it is frowned upon. Specially when ambition these days means only professional ambition. "He who has no ambition in life is absolutely useless, and will achieve nothing in life". Why is that? If my ambition is to ride a motorcycle all my life, if that makes me happy and satiated then is it really that outrageous?

Ambition is what makes you happy. Ambition inspires you. Having an ambition is is not binding yourself to a certain task. Its not defining who/what you wanna be by the end of your life.

Ambition is what gives your life a direction, a purpose. I do not think ambition is a goal. Ambitions should be volatile and abstract. Wake up each day, and have a new ambition. If you haven't changed your ambition at least 10 times in your life so far, you have got to start living your life. Get a new ambition in life everyday.  Don't limit your life's purpose to one dream, to one goal.

See what a mid-summer afternoon rain can do to you...
